NES are working with their Oil & Gas client on a Senior Process Engineer opportunity within their team, and we're looking to speak to candidates who meet the above criteria. Based in either Camberley or Aberdeen, you will play a critical role in the delivery of process packages regionally for on and offshore applications.
This role requires technical solutions and designing of fluid process systems throughout all phases of a project lifecycle. Expertise in process engineering and technologies associated in the field of Crude Oil, Gas and Produced Water processes such as multi-phase separation, produced water treatment for oil removal and sand handling packages is highly desirable for this position. You would also be involvec in process engineering duties associated with the Energy Transition Market, such as CCUS and Hydrogen Processing.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable handling several projects at any given time, and have thorough knowledge of process simulation, along with an understanding of NACE & NORSOK standards.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work under the direction of the Process Engineering Manager and with other process groups to support the transfer of technology and introduction of new products to a multi-disciplined engineering team, along with the Proposals and Engineering Teams to support value engineering and standardization of the core product portfolio
Attend and participate in bid clarification meetings, technical discussions regarding client's technologies, project kick off meetings and provide process input to ensure customer care is at the foremost position
Present to clients and other industry professionals
Perform simulation studies and develop heat & mass balance sheets
Manage and execute conceptual and optimisation studies
Develop PFDs and P&IDs to suit process requirements
Calculate and size process equipment (such as pressure vessels, 3-Phase Separators, De-oiling Hydrocyclones, filters, pumps, eductors, etc.)
Perform hydraulic calculations and line sizing of single and multiphase fluid flow and slurry flow pipelines
Select and size control and manual valves to suit process requirements
SKILL, TRAINING & SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE:
Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook)
Have an understanding of instrumentation and its' use
Knowledge of process simulation (Hysys, Unisim etc)
Exceptional skills in the use of Excel, including VBA programming
Exposure to Computational Fluid Dynamics or associated modelling techniques
