A truly global company, our client is one of the world's largest chemical companies.
The ethylene cracker at our client's business in Grangemouth has a substantial program of projects underway, comprising the completion of the final phases of a new build furnace, and a suite of projects that are under development for delivery between now and early 2024.
A Completions Engineer is one of a number of experienced project professionals our client is seeking, to join the existing team to support this major investment program.
Job Purpose
Provide completions expertise to the Projects Team and assist in the development of completions systems and procedures.
Apply project completions procedures to deliver construction of projects to meet the project timelines.Principle Accountabilities
Provide guidance on multidisciplinary completions matters to the construction and technical teams to comply with site standards.
Draft the completions strategies for individual projects, ensure they are adequate for the work scope and enable a controlled handover to the Asset.
Apply the completions standard to ensure the quality of completed projects to the asset.
Monitor construction alignment to plant mod phases and commissioning needs. Control and record implementation related changes and growth during the course of the project that could affect completions.
Execute the Completions activities during the closeout phase of projects to ensure close out of the job within agreed timescales and current plans.
Compile person hour estimates at the end of basic to cover the Completions tasks in a given project.
Monitor person hour work orders on own projects against original deliverables and provide evidence to support change.
Collate key performance indicators, drive team objectives for completions activities and make recommendations to first line manager to steer continual improvements.

Requirement for individual to interface / coordinate with a wide range of roles.
The project programme comprises of multi-discipline projects running concurrently.
Some periods of inconvenience to support turnarounds and urgent plant commissioning schedules.
Qualifications, knowledge and Skills
HNC/NVQ level three in an engineering discipline or more than five years' experience in an engineering environment.
An understanding of project management processes.
Expert knowledge of a Completions Database system.
Ability to communicate and network effectively across various levels both internally and with third party companies.
Able to plan and organise multiple projects, reacting appropriately and flexibly to changing requirements.
Able to solve problems with a methodical approach and know when to seek support.
Enthusiasm and motivation to deliver on all actions to a high standard and in line with project schedule.
Ability to compile and analyse data and information, and to report recommendations with supporting evidence.
Commitment to excellent SHE performance and zero tolerance for unsafe conditions/ behaviours.
