n8n is a low-code workflow automation tool that allows you to connect different services together with custom logic (think syncing your CRM with an internal database or allowing companies to easily build Slack bots for their products). We launched 1.5 years ago to a ton of interest, and things have accelerated since then:
- With 60m Docker pulls, loads of people are using our product already. There is a huge demand for what we're doing
- With 19k stars, we are in the top 800 of the 238m projects on GitHub
- We have a community of 30k people who love our product
VCs are really excited about this: we were Sequoia's first seed investment in Europe, and have just raised another $12m. We're using that money to grow awareness and usage even faster and accelerate monetization. n8n is a company going places fast, and this is an opportunity to get in on the ground floor.
About the role:
As a Staff Frontend Engineer at n8n, you will:
- Design, build, test, and ship new features for the node editor, the frontend of n8n's workflow automation tool, and n8n cloud, our SaaS application, using modern tools like Nuxt.js, Vue.js, Typescript, Webpack, Sass
- Implement new features for the website, and changes to driving SEO improvements
- Take responsibility proactively for the long-term code quality and frontend architecture, taking into account the need for security, scalability, performance and automation
- Be a part of our engineering team, coordinating closely with backend engineers to build features that seamlessly integrate together
- Work closely with cross-functional team members (product managers, designers), along with the founder and senior management to help drive further growth of the company
- 8+ years' experience in software Engineering. You are an expert with Vue.js and Typescript
- Strong experience in frontend styling using HTML, CSS and other JavaScript frameworks
- Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, Jasmine, Cypress, etc.
- Interest in open source
- Bonus points: experience with design tools such as Figma; backend development experience and/or SEO knowledge
- Able to be proactive in identifying and solving problems independently and efficiently
- Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, team spirit and empathy
- Excited to join an early stage startup on a mission to give everyone who uses a computer technical superpowers
This role can be done from anywhere within Europe. We can sponsor visas to Germany; for any other country, you need to have existing right to work. Our company language is English.
