OurTechnical Infrastructure and Transformation team assists PwC withinformation technology transformation efforts, helping us toimprove our business value through optimising our informationtechnology capabilities. You’ll help PwC understand, planfor, and realise strategic business opportunities in informationtechnology. The Infrastructure Management team is a key subfunctionwithin the Technology Function. Responsible for the lifecyclemanagement of firmwide technology infrastructure and operations,with a primary focus on platform / infrastructure architecture,from Appraisal through to Operational stages of the productlifecycle. Responsible for providing technical inputs to theAssessment and Selection of business technologies requested by LoS/ Functions, particularly around existing or developing regionaltechnology landscape. Plays a key role in the detailed design andimplementation of new technologies, focusing on the integration ofnew technologies smoothly into the PwC ME Technology ecosystem. Theinfrastructure management team manage the ongoing operations of alltechnology infrastructure, not limited to improvement and upgrades,regular maintenance and providing troubleshooting support to endusers. Finally, the jobholders are expected to contribute to theinternal innovation agenda, identifying industry technology trendsrelevant to the PwC ME infrastructure architecture, operations andsocialising these with the leadership of the function.Financial • Provide input into the annualbudgeting process around the infrastructure managementfunction • Develop network requirements andprovide input to network capital planning and budgeting• Provide cost efficient IT infrastructure services tofacilitate IT and business needs • Identifyand implement cost optimization initiatives within theInfrastructure Management function Customer •Act as the core architect supporting parts of the business that areundergoing transformation and strategic change, via the IT BusinessPartner • Work within project teams withresponsibility for delivering the Architectural recommendations andthe high level design • Provide designguidance across a range of infrastructure technologies, ensuringsolutions are aligned with the enterprise architecture vision andmeet with technical standards • Consult tobusiness where opportunities arise/insights and proactive advice isfound regarding technical aspects related to their technologies,processes and equipment • Collaborate withothers in region, with others in the network, as well as the othershared IT service organisations on infrastructure technical designand implementation for projects • UndertakeTechnical Research, Prototyping and Proof of concepts in line withthe needs of the firm. • Work collaborativelywith vendors to address infrastructure related matters• Provides design guidance to sourcing vendor for specificprojects that follows the enterprise architecture vision andapplicable infrastructure technology standards• Manage and define Service Level Agreements (SLAs)related to Infrastructure Management function• Monitor and track user level satisfaction with qualityof IT Infrastructure support and implement corrective action asneeded • Ensure internal client satisfactionwith IT Infrastructure services Internal Process• Acts as a peer reviewer on complex projects to ensurethat architecture and high level design remain in line withstandards • Create and own Technologystandards and Roadmaps for Infrastructure Management function • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture andStrategy to understand and deliver the overall IT strategy from anInfrastructure Management point of view •Develop and enforce IT systems compatibility and consistencystandards across the Middle East • Manage thedevelopment and maintenance of a scalable, agile IT infrastructuremeeting the organization's operational and capacityrequirements • Oversee the planning ofmaintenance of all IT infrastructure • DesignIT disaster recovery plans and raise to Technology Leader forapproval • Manage and ensure delivery of ITprojects related to Infrastructure Management functionNetwork: • - Network Management• - Ensure all IT infrastructure, tools, roles andconfigurations are aligned with agreed service and availabilitytargets levels. • - Network Projects - ProjectManagement and reporting • - EnsureStandardize IT Network / Infrastructure across the region • - Monitor network performance.• - Infrastructure / Network Design, Planning andImplementation • Regionally Network upgradesand capacity planning and management • -Network Infrastructure configuration, development andImplementation • - Network Infrastructureperformance monitoring and analysis • -Network Infrastructure vulnerability assessment and treatment • - Coordinate and facilitate Network Infrastructureprojects and changes Cloud Computing: • -Cloud solutions strategic planning. • - CloudSolutions Project Management • - Cloudsolutions management and administration. • -Cloud solutions performance monitoring. • -Prepare Cloud status and performance reporting.
