Role:;- Bid Manager
Based:- Stonehouse, Gloucester, GL10
Rate :- £25.00p/h (outside of IR35) OR (PAYE if preferred)
Duration;- 7 Months+ Our client is seeking an experienced Bid Manager to produce high quality tenders for the Energy Industry, collaborating with the front-line Sales function, Technical Advisory and Operations. This position is in Studies, Tendering and Technical Advisory (STA).
You will have the opportunity to develop the tenders into a repeatable format that provides a compelling solution to the customer. They will work with multi-disciplinary technical teams, project management, supply chain, sales strategists, finance, commercial/contract management..
You will be required to plan each proposal, manage deliverables against the plan (often to tight schedules) and driving the schedule is required.
There is geographic flexibility within the UK for the best candidate. This is not a home-based role, but there is flexibility around working from home.
Role/duties:-
Developing proposal plans and managing the deliverables of all aspects of the proposal to that plan. :
Collaborate with consultants and engineers to prepare bid content based on customer requirements
Collaborate on contract formation with the Commercial Manager and engaging with financial and legal teams for support
Collate written bid content into high quality tenders
Collate numerical bid content/estimates and generate Cost Models
Present Cost Models to Sales
Support Review process to gain Sales and Operational approval in order to submit bids by the due date
Submit Bid Approvals
Generating proposals for support contract renewals and new contracts
Complete / manage the completion of Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQ) for future tenders
Managing customer bid documentation (RFQs, RFIs, and ITTs) and communication during the bid
Continuing to improve the standard and quality of bids
Managing and updating Bid templates as required
Proactive involvement in continuous improvement of Tendering Process initiatives.Background:-
Experience working in commercial tendering is preferred but training will be given.
Capable of making a positive contribution in a small team
Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on Microsoft Word.
Ability to handle and process spreadsheet data
Ability to work under pressure to tight timescalesYou will be fluent in English both orally and to a high standard in writing
