Our Client is accepting applications for the position of Commercial Analyst reporting to the Commercial Manager, located in our Aberdeen office. This is a newly created position into the Commercial team and is varied role covering commercial operations, asset support and assistance to the product sales and hydrocarbon accounting processes.
Responsibilities
• Commercial representative providing asset support for decommissioning and retained liability assets.
• Support and coordinate nominations and capacity bookings process under various asset transportation agreements.
• Tariff invoices validation. Update and maintain central database and assist in validation of monthly tariffed volumes and charges including send or pay, excess charges and annual reconciliations etc.
• Assist in review and maintenance of hydrocarbon electronic production reports from various assets and oil and gas terminal portals.
• Act as initial point of contact and attend regular terminal meetings, report feedback to Commercial team.
• Provide monthly support to Hydrocarbon Accountant in review of gas sales nominations to optimise process and minimise system charges.
• Support Commercial Advisors and Hydrocarbon Accountant in analysing actual hydrocarbon production and sales data.
• Validate existing timebound commercial obligations system, monitor compliance, and keep system up to date.
• Assist Commercial Advisors and coordinate with Legal to complete standard agreements, for example, proximity and pipeline crossing, confidentiality agreements etc. Support reviews of asset transfer novation's received from other operators.
• Support Commercial Advisors in annual decommissioning security calculations including updating of key macro data as per Decommissioning and Security Agreement assumptions.
• Coordinate Joint Venture insurance requests with Finance.
• Holiday and sickness cover for Hydrocarbon Accountant and Offtake Controller.
Qualifications
• Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact at with a broad spectrum of professionals across the organisation.
• Highly numerate problem solver accustomed to using their initiative to find solutions.
• With high levels of drive the ideal candidate will be a self-starter that can both take direction and work autonomously.
• Excellent Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Familiarity with upstream commercial agreements and product flows is beneficial.
• Accustomed to working effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Degree or equivalent in finance; engineering; legal or business discipline (preferred).
