NES Fircroft is currently looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist, to support one of our key oilfield clients based in Aberdeen. This will be a 12-month fixed term contract, working 37.5 hours Monday - Friday and will have you working as part of a very productive & efficient payroll team.Reporting into the UK Payroll Team Lead, you will be brought into the team to support with day to day activities in a very busy and challenging environment. The UK payroll consists of a number of UK based legal entities (all paid monthly), where the team have the remit of administering payroll for an employee headcount of up to 5,000 employees nationally.Key Responsibilities: Working as part of a team to complete the UK wide payrolling, associated with a large scale and full stream engineering company which will include, but is not limited to: • Payroll input – overtime, field pay, bonuses, ad hoc payments and deductions • Checking of master data changes in Workday and ensuring successful data flow into payroll systems (HRX, SAP) – analysing errors and liaising with multiple teams to ensure corrections are made in time • Payroll validation checks • Checking and processing new hires and leavers information • Statutory payments calculations • Processing employee earnings arrestment's • Raising payments to 3rd party vendors • HMRC reconciliation of RTI and PAYE • Internal reporting as required • Handling employee queries Preferred requirements: • Proven payroll experience within a large scale oil company, though this is not a pre-requisite • Strong excel skills • Good working knowledge of UK HMRC legislation • Strong working experience of automated and integrated payroll systems, particularly knowledge of SAP and/or Workday • Ability to work under pressure, multitasking and work to tight deadlines • Excellent organisational skillsWith over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil & Gas, Power & Renewables, Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining, Automotive and Chemicals sectors worldwide.With more than 100 offices in 45 countries, we are able to provide our clients with the engineering and technical expertise they need, wherever and whenever it is needed.
