Aker Solutions UK are looking to strengthen the team with the addition of a successful Business Development leader to head up the pursuit and capture of projects related to the electrification of topsides and offshore and onshore installations and plants.
This key role will help Aker Solutions' deliver projects to reduce emissions by replacing natural gas with electrical power from renewable sources.

What will you be doing?
- Take responsibility from early phase connection with clients, through developing partnerships to securing contracts
- Maintain a high level of face to face client interaction, create and maintain excellent relationships with clients, partners and other stakeholders
- Execute prequalification and positioning for business opportunities
- Contribute to the development of customer strategies together with other BD resources, key account managers and the appropriate business segments
- Grow and maintain a substantial sales funnel, owning the prospects in the geography aligned with global processes and ensuring adherence to CRM
- Develop value propositions to convert prospects into sales orders
- Work closely with tender teams for tenders that fall under the specified area and ownership; Manage tenders & win opportunities
- Significant experience within Electrification (ideally gained in the Utilities sector), including knowledge of potential opportunities and partnerships
- Well-developed skills in BD and tendering processes, with a proven track record of winning business
- Ability to work with and influence Front End delivery teams
- Drive and passion for sales and identifying and capturing new opportunities
- Personable character with the ability to collaborate across the business and engage at multiple levels both internally and with clients
- Customer centric and an excellent networker
- Proven track record of developing broad systems based strategies and winning integrated opportunities
