JOB PURPOSE:
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Business or relevant discipline.
Minimum Experience:
• 8 years of port operations experience with at least 3 years in a superintendent role.
Job-Specific Skills:
• Strong knowledge of port regulation.
• Previous experience of implementing and promoting Health & Safety training and awareness in the workplace.
• Strong knowledge of general cargo and terminal operations.
• Proficiency in English (must). Preferred Arabic speaker.
• Ability to work with key stakeholders, senior executives, management team and external partners/advisors through collaboration & teamwork in a non-hierarchical relationship framework.
• Excellent relationship building skills.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
• Advanced computer and Microsoft office skills.
• Able to work in day/night shifts.
• Reasonable level of analytical skills and troubleshooting / problem solving.
• Ability to manage time effectively, set priorities and meet deadlines.
• Good communication skills.
• Regulatory and Compliance awareness.
• Good organising and planning skills.
• Good understanding of Qatar and GCC culture and working environment.

JOB PURPOSE:
- To manage the day to day operation in the terminal which includes the supervision of vessel operation, yard and warehouse operation.
- Coordinates with all concerned parties in a professional manner to successfully achieve the goals and objectives established by senior management as well as to satisfy the expectation of clients.

- Job holder is required to supervise the day-to-day vessel operation, yard and gate operation and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and HSE policies.
- Job holder reports to MUT/OST Manager and confers with him on any critical issues.
