Job Role: Assistant ProfessorMathematics
Job Description:
- Comply with EHS Policies, ProgramsandProcedures as per IAT/ADVETI EHSMS-General Framework and takeresponsibilityfor any aspect of EHS that they are involvedin
- Conduct lectures, tutorials, practicalclasses,demonstrations, workshops, student field excursions, andclinicalsessions?????????????????????????????
- Develop and update subject material??
- Develop and deliver different teachingapproaches andmodels including, but not limited to, e-learning,student-centrededucation, blended education, flipped lecture model,individualized learning??
- Act assubject/course coordinators??
- Undertakeresearch aligned to their expertise,entity research focus and/ormajor research priorities of the UAE
- Align?undergraduate capstone and graduateprojects withcareer, problem based industrial projects and patentableideas?
- Engage in scholarly activities,innovation, andsubmission of grant applications to support researchgoals?
- Participate in professional activitiessuch astraining, conferences, workshops, etc.??
- Organise events and community services suchasexhibitions, conferences, competitions, workshops and trainingsessions?
- Develop assessment tools, gradingrubrics, andoutcome assessment??
- Advice andmentor students
- Undertake administrativefunctions connected toacademic outcome reporting, course filing andarchiving, course surveys andfeedback, grade book, ande-assessments?
- Participate in internal andexternalcommittees
- Participate incommittees for strategy andpolicy development
- Provide consultation services
- Conduct any other tasks assigned by thelinemanager
JobRequirements
- PhD / Doctorate inMathematics
- Professional Doctorates areNOTaccepted. I.e. Doctorate of Education(DoEd), Doctorateof Business Administration (DBA) etc.
- 1-3years of teaching experienceafter the PhD
- TwoPublications registered inScopus Database or ScholarlyPublications
- Excellent oral and writtenEnglish with IELTS academic band of 7 (is amust for non-nativeEnglish speakers).
- All candidates must obtaintheEquivalency certificate for their highest qualification/from theMOE, UAE.Local candidates (based in the UAE) should submit theEquivalency certificatesbefore joining and overseas candidates haveto submit the UAE attestedcertificates (High school, Bachelor,Master & PhD as applicable) before joining
