Job Role: Sales Manager

ASales Manager analyses local market trends and competitor activityto recommend strategies that keep the hotel a leader in themarketplace through the development of future and repeatbusiness.
As Sales Manager, you will analyselocal market trends and competitor activity to recommend strategiesthat keep the hotel a leader in the marketplace through thedevelopment of future and repeat business. Specifically, you willbe responsible for performing the following tasks to the higheststandards:
- Analysis local markettrends and competitor activity to identify businessleads
- Develop customer accounts and travelwithin the local area to drive business into the specifichotel/cluster and to increase market/customer share in all revenuestreams
- Negotiate room rates/packages withcorporate clients
- Develop and implementcreative local marketing channels, including social mediachannels
- Prepare company contracts for thehotel in accordance with current business and pricingconditions
- Work within current businessstrategies and recognising potential opportunities
- Cooperate with other departments in the hotel to createan exceptional Guest experience and build strong, comprehensivesales programs
- Attend Sales events, asrequired
- Produce accurate and timely reportsthat meet the needs of the Sales Director and senior management toinclude the reporting of appointments, calls made and businessleads
- Answer customer queries in a prompt andprofessional manner
- Manage staff performancein compliance with company policies and procedures
- Recruit, manage, train and develop the Salesteam
