A Front Office Managersupervises the Front Office Team to ensure that Team Members areprepared and well-informed to deliver our Guests an exceptionalexperience from check-in through check-out.
What will I bedoing?
AsFront Office Manager, you will oversee the Front Office Team whichis the main connection between the Guest, the hotel, and thevarious hotel departments. A Front Office Manager is responsiblefor managing the first impressions of our Guests and, therefore,must perform the following tasks to the higheststandards:
- Oversee the entire FrontOffice operation to maintain high standards
- Evaluate levels of Guest satisfaction and monitor trends,with a focus on continuous improvement
- Ensureregular and VIP Guests are recognised and that the Front Officedepartment operates with a sales attitude and promotes the hotelbrand's loyalty scheme
- Maximise roomoccupancy at best rates and use up-selling techniques to promotehotel services and facilities
- Set departmentalobjectives, work schedules, budgets, policies, andprocedures
What arewe looking for?
- Monitor the appearance, standards, and performance of theFront Office Team Members with an emphasis on training andteamwork
- Ensure Team Members have currentknowledge of hotel products, services, pricing and policies, aswell as knowledge of the local area, and are continuously trainedto learn and understand policies and practices
- Maintain good communication and working relationshipswith all hotel departments
- Monitor staffinglevels to meet cover business demands
- Conductmonthly communication meetings and produce minutes
- Manage staff performance issues in compliance withcompany policies and procedures
- Recruit,manage, train and develop the Front Office team
- Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and allhealth and safety legislation
- Act inaccordance with policies and procedures when working with front ofhouse equipment and property management systems
- Assist with other departments, as necessary
- Familiar with Property Management Systems
- A degree or diploma in Hotel Management orequivalent

- A degree ordiploma in Hotel Management or equivalent
- Aminimum of 3 years of Front Office supervisory experience in thehotel, leisure, and/or retail sector
- Highlevel of IT proficiency
- High level ofcommercial awareness and sales capabilities
- Experience of managing people and developingpeople
- Previous experience of managing adepartment and Profit and Loss account
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communicationskills
- Accountable and resilient
- Commitment to delivering a high level of customerservice
- Ability to work underpressure
- Excellent groomingstandards
- Flexibility to respond to a varietyof work situations
- Ability to work on your ownand as part of a team
