Job Role: Banqueting Manager

ABanqueting Manager is responsible for managing all banquets andevents in the hotel to deliver an excellent Guest andTeam Member experience while optimising sales, evaluatingperformance, and ensuring staffing levels meet demand.

As a Banqueting Manager, you will be responsible formanaging all banquets and events in the hotel to deliver anexcellent Guest and Team Member experience. A Banqueting Managerwill also be required to optimise sales and ensure staffing levelsmeet demand. Specifically, you will be responsible for performingthe following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Manage all Banquets/Events
  • Maintainexceptional levels of customer service
  • Evaluate guest satisfaction levels with a focus oncontinuous improvement
  • Propose ideas to buildthe range and quality of Conference and Banquet
  • Optimise sales and contain costs, identifying any areasfor action
  • Maintain good communication andwork relationships in all hotel areas and with external customersand suppliers
  • Ensure staffing levels meetbusiness demands
  • Ensure training is carriedout on an ongoing basis
  • Ensure communicationmeetings are conducted and post-meeting minutesgenerated
  • Manage staff performance issues incompliance with company policies and procedures
  • Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and allhealth and safety legislation

Tosuccessfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude,behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

  • Strong knowledge of hotel/leisure/servicesector
  • Record of success in Conference andBeverage, specifically the ability to deliver profit, controlcosts, and build customer loyalty
  • Exceptionalcommunication skills
  • Exceptional leadershipskills to create a winning team
  • Conference andBanquet Operations experience in a managerial position inhotel/Events Centre

It would beadvantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the followingcapabilities and distinctions:

  • Degree or diploma in Hotel Management orequivalent
  • Passion for delivering exceptionallevels of guest service
