Your work will directly impact students’ lives and our rapidly growing customers base.More specifically, you would be facilitating innovation by simplifying developer workflows and designing cutting edge infrastructure and tools using modern technologies, Docker, and AWS.Our tech stack includes javascript, clojure, Datomic, Docker, and various AWS serivces. We are looking for people with a solid technical understanding in these areas and languages. We offer a competitive salary, equity, and an awesome team.Key Responsibilities:Develop monitoring and alerting systems utilizing modern best practices,Design self-healing infrastructure,Debug intricate production issues,Develop tools for usage by development and QA teams,Establish triage and incident response processes,Improve service reliability through testing, root cause analysis, and postmortems,Solve availability, reliability, and latency issues across the stack,Participate in On-Call rotation,Application development where applicableRequirements:3+ years working on a high traffic web application,Experience maintaining AWS ECS cluster (or similar container tools),Experience with logging and monitoring tools,Solid experience with administration of various AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, etc),Prior experience with CI/CD and associated toolsets (e.g. Circle CI),Strong grasp of deployment automation and configuration management on AWS,Solid understanding of systems and application design,Skilled at clearly articulating design ideas while being receptive to constructive criticism,Desire to learn and improveBonus Points:Excellence in multiple technology disciplines (eg: node.js, JVM),Prior experience with Clojure and Datomic,Interest in learning and applying functional programming techniques to hard problems,Good knowledge of relational database internals,Contribution to Open Source,Desire to use technology to eliminate inefficiencies in the education marketsPackage : Base salary + benefits (US only) + stock options
