Development Coordinator/Writer
Position Summary
Creative Reaction Lab is searching for a Development Coordinator/Writer that would thrive in a team-centered, co-creation culture for racial and health equity that centers Black and Latinx youth. The Development Coordinator/Writer will support the grant writing, partnership development cultivation, and fundraising research of Creative Reaction Lab. The Development Coordinator/Writer will assist in building out the development and fundraising income stream, grant writing, co-creating an individual donor program, and more.
Responsibilities
Grants Management
-
Assist, and occasionally lead, the President and CEO in submitting grant proposals, LOIs (Letters of Intent), RFPs (Requests for Proposals), etc.

Research national, regional, and local grants relevant to Creative Reaction Lab’s mission and theory of change.

Manage grantor prospecting, cultivation, and relationship management through grants management software.

Submit update/impact reports to grantors.
-
Manage annual grants calendar.
Partnership Development
-
Assist with lead development for youth program and organization-wide partners.

Co-manage, with the President and CEO, the development of a holistic partnership development strategy for recruitment of financial and in-kind partners.

Write and design partnership alignment proposals, agreements, pitch decks, etc.

Assist with recruitment, communication and management of community and corporate partnerships, with the inclusion of developing pipeline opportunities for program alumni.

Manage partnership development pipeline through customer relationship management software.
Evaluation
-
Co-manage impact data and storytelling updates within grants management software for inclusion in grants, partnership proposals, impact reports, etc.

Manage continuous improvement and quality monitoring of funder and partner cultivation process and strategy.

Evaluate, and continuously improve, grant research efforts, application process, and funding retention.

Create monthly fundraising and partnership development reports.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university and/or at least two years of related experience in grant writing, fundraising, partnership development, and event management.

Experience writing grants and partnership pitches for funding.
-
Basic financial management and budgeting.
-
Strong oral, written, public speaking, and interpersonal communications skills.
-
Excellent writing, editing, and planning skills.
-
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from partners, vendors, internal staff, and the general public.

Ability to manage multiple projects independently and within a team.
-
Ability to give and receive direct feedback.
-
Ability and willingness to continuously and critically examine one’s relationship to power, privilege, oppression, history, and healing.
