Fullstack API Engineer/Integrations Specialist (Remote OK)

We are the fastest growing startup in Europe in the process of prototyping the first few most urgent use cases of an upcoming bi-directional integration between Salesforce (Sales Cloud CRM, Marketing Cloud and Community Cloud/now Experience Cloud) and an internally designed platform (a homebrew, java-coded AWS-hosted platform) which, for the sake of scoping this project properly, we will consider like an ERP used in most B2B customers operations functions. We need a full-stack developer to build this prototype integration interface (on Heroku utilising Heroku Connect, Heroku PostGres database and several add-ons for the main apps making up the "data bridge"), whilst collaborating and knowledge-sharing every step of the way both with Salesforce Apex developers, Salesforce ecosystem admins (main PoC) and tech engineers in charge of said ERP system. Documenting the MVP and full project whilst shipping is paramount. This development project should be undertaken with the flexibility in mind of being able to amend it or migrate it to work with a full enterprise access granted/licence-to-build on top of existing private API needed for the full-blown integration to work properly and expand to other use cases in the medium term. Ideal profile & skillset: - Experience with managing RDMS databases with 10Tb+ of data - Proven track record of building and optimizing data pipelines for massive amounts of data - Strong experience with performance database/ETL design and optimization - Strong experience working with unstructured data - Strong experience in prototyping, specifying and implementing services ecosystems - Strong experience in scalability, reliability and security - Strong experience with designing, building and consuming APIs - Excellent implementation skills including with flexible brief settings - Strong experience with unit, integration, functional testing, continuous integration, and Test Driven Development - Experience with Configuration Management systems - Experience in Linux administration, troubleshooting, tuning, profiling, and monitoring - Experience with load balancing and reverse proxying techniques - Solid understanding of network protocols - Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex problems independently - Ability to convey intricate systems and logic to both technical and non-technical partners in a digestible way both in written form, verbally and via visuals, preferably in English for global audiences - Experience working on multi-stakeholders projects in large and global corporate organisations - Ideally, proven track record with projects requiring the handling of financial data Please get in touch to get the full-length and detailed technical project requirements for this 3-phased MVP prototype development > integration MVP development > full-integration uses cases roll-out project.
