Job Description
Position: Copywriter
Start date: 7/21 (ideally week of 7/13) – wants copywriter up to speed by mid-august
Duration: 6 months+ (now thru EOY)
Work hours: Part Time
Remote: 100% remote
Day to Day:
- Helping with overflow work in fast paced copywriting team
- Primarily focused on overflow and vacation relief, ensure that project deliverables are met
- Creating email copy, promo campaigns – focus on short form for promo campaigns
- May also support other branded campaigns
- Working w/ 2 other copywriters (one focuses on concepting)
- Client averages 50 multi-level projects at any given times – promos, landing pages, headers
- Adhering to established brand guidelines, working with internal stakeholders
- Role will start out primarily focused on email campaigns – writing copy for email, associated landing pages (3-4 lines) – need pithy, concise copy
Must Haves:
- 3-5+ years experience – mid-level copywriter
- Needs email copy, promo campaigns – not business writing but need to have fresh style, creative approach, flair
- Strong grammar skills, able to self-proof work in rough draft as well as final
- Strong attention to detail, quality control along the entire life-cycle
- Experience writing copy for email (2-3 lines a piece)
- Soft Skills: Strong communication style, able to function in fast paced environment, manage multiple deliverables/workflows
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required
- Portfolios: any promo work, any blog work (will give insight into writing style), variety of work, experience writing copy for email in consumer market (B2C)
Nice to have:
- Any blog work/experience
- Software company experience
- B2C experience
- Agency experience a major plus (client functions as internal agency)
- Jira experience – will be uploading copy, linking work, tracking workflows (can be trained on this tool)
