Part-time Copywriter
Copywriters at Blue Laser are driven to create copy that inspires and moves people with compelling copy. They are deeply collaborative within every team and can easily maneuver from an SEO and digital marketing project in the morning to a user experience, branding, and interactive design campaign in the afternoon. Our copywriters create content for a diverse set of clients and audiences, ranging from finance and healthcare to manufacturing and retail. They understand that time is of the essence to our clients and write copy accordingly. At a moment’s notice, they easily immerse themselves into the business of a brand and write to create a meaningful impact for that brands’ bottom-line. They are resourceful in that they can quickly ascertain a brands voice and tone and can write on specific topics with amazing results. They are idea-driven thinkers, able to identify opportunity and powerfully craft copy that bring brand-stories to life.
While this is currently a part-time position, we intend to see it transform into a full-time role within our agency. The opportunity exists to shape this position for job sharing.
What we’d like to see:
- Proven ability with 3-5 years of experience writing copy for a variety of audiences and brands in a multitude of contexts, such as: digital marketing and SEO campaigns, user experience, website designs, branding, personas, presentations, and others.
- Research, write, and revise copy for social media, SEO, user experience and other marketing projects that include short- and long-form articles, branding, presentations, landing pages, ads, and a myriad of other campaigns.
- An understanding that when copy and visual design work harmoniously, they can have a tremendous impact on audiences. Unless our work meets or exceeds this standard, we’re not meeting the expectations for ourselves or our clients.
- Strong copyediting and proofing skills. Attention to the details is extremely important to us and our clients.
- Interactively engaged with clients by leading phone and in-person interviews to gather the necessary insight and information to write intelligently and with confidence.
- Ability to proactively communicate and brainstorm with both internal teams and clients.
- An out-of-the-box thinker that thoroughly enjoys bringing creativity and big ideas to the table.
- Research new content outreach ideas and present to team to help spread content to external sites.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
