As a writer at Jute Creative, you will:

• Be curious and learn your client inside and out—their strategies, objectives, and goals
• Do research and be able to substantiate effective approaches and concepts
• Know target audiences intimately and write to engage them
• Apply client brand voice and tone to short, medium, and long form writing
• Understand the platform and medium for the content and write to best practice specs and form
• Use writing skills and word economy, and active and parallel language
• Wear different hats to review you work and sometimes be your own editor
• Offer ideas to designers for presenting copy and tone of images
• Collaborate with designers to land the right visual communications solutions

Expertise

• 4-year degree or certification in writing or related field of study, and/or 5 years of practical experience in branding and marketing communications
• 3+ years in B2B and B2C writing and communications roles
• Proven experience writing for major B2C and B2B brands, preferably in financial services, health care and technology
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills, impeccable attention to detail, and personal accountability for the quality and timeliness of work
• Ability to think on your feet, pivot and make solid decisions and recommendations
• Strong MS Office and Google Suite skills

Freelance position

Compensation: hourly, depends on experience
