Freelance Movie News Writer
CinemaBlend seeks an enthusiastic movie fanatic for a freelance news writing position who is plugged in to the movie industry. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated wordsmiths with up-to-date knowledge of the entertainment industry and an appetite for all things movies. This is a freelance position with room to grow.
We’re looking for someone who’s up for writing on a variety of movie-related topics, has a good sense of humor, pays attention to details, and writes with a fun, conversational tone. We’re also looking for someone who is able to write on Sundays and during the week.
Other things to know about the position…
+This is a freelance telecommute position for movie news writer who’s open to writing about a variety of topics within the movie industry.
+Freelancers begin at the starting rate, which is a per-article rate.
+This is a news-writing position.
+Journalism degree not required.
+Some writing experience is required. We will want to see published articles from an online outlet, preferably related to movies.
+We expect a quick turnaround on all article assignments, so we’re looking for someone who’s good with details, knows the industry and can submit a clean copy.
+Actual hours of availability are flexible, however, Sunday hours are required.
+U.S. applicants only, please. And you must be over 18 years old to apply.
We’re looking for a minimum of 65 submissions from you a month.

+On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being “Never Heard Of It” and 10 being “Expert,” how familiar are you with the following franchises?
