We’re seeking an experienced PHP developer to work with our highly successful SaaS platform. We have a small development team so you will be responsible for completing a project from start to finish. This will allow you to easily see your contributions and how our users respond to them. Our backend is written in PHP using the Phalcon framework. We focus on creating quality code using the latest technology. Deadlines are not a worry here! Creativity and attention to detail are a must.

This position is for Canadians only. This is a remote position but if you live in Toronto, you are free to come into the office.


Responsibilities
  • Write code to connect, parse and store data from various third party APIs like Facebook or Google
  • Design HTTP APIs using industry standard best practices
  • Create and optimize database queries (MySQL, Spanner, BigQuery, Mongo)
  • Work with our custom mongo time series database
  • Work with Google cloud infrastructure (Cloud Build, Kubernetes Engine, BigQuery, Spanner)
  • Manage Google cloud Infrastructure with Terraform (experience not required)
  • Write massively scalable web scrapers
  • Create tests, perform code reviews and fix bugs

Experience Required
  • 5+ years using PHP
  • Experience with a PHP framework
  • MySQL / MongoDb / Big Query
  • Google Cloud / Kubernetes
  • College / university degree

Salary
  • $100,000 CAD
