Copy Editors to help ensure quality across lifestyle brand
BDG is seeking Copy Editors to help ensure quality across its lifestyle brands. The part-time Copy Editor will coordinate with editors to review stories for clarity, style, and accuracy both pre-and post-publication.
The ideal candidate has an excellent grasp of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and AP style. The candidate should also be familiar with the style and tone of Bustle, NYLON, The Zoe Report, Elite Daily, and Romper.
This is a remote, part-time role. Candidates must be available to work one of the following shifts:
Monday-Wednesday, 10am-5pm ET
Wednesday-Friday, 10am-5pm ET
Responsibilities

- Copyedit features across Bustle, NYLON, The Zoe Report, Elite Daily, and Romper before publication
- Copyedit high-visibility stories after publication
- Ensure stories conform to BDG’s individual style rules and AP style
Requirements

- 2+ years of experience copyediting for digital or print media
- Solid judgment and stellar writing skills
- Expert knowledge of AP style
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Strong prioritization and time management skills
- Fact-checking experience preferred
