The Role
As a Head of Data you will be in charge of leading the Data Team at Holded. Collecting, processing and storing data as well as extracting insights and allowing the management team to make data driven decisions. The team you'll lead will be in charge of the whole pipeline, with the main goal of extracting meaning from our data and distributing it in a structured way to all departments, based on their needs. As Head of Data your main responsibilities will be:
Responsible for the data strategy at Holded, aligning it with the vision and mission of the company
Take ownership of all data processes, from extraction to presentation; manage our data infrastructure and design a pipeline & ETL process
Lead a team of 3 (and growing) to achieve your goals and contribute to the company reaching its targets
Report directly to the VP of Finance
Attend the Data needs of every area in the company, bridging the gap between the tech team, and other departments, providing them with not only what they ask for, but what they need to thrive
Design and implement A/B tests alongside various teams including marketing & tech
Use data to provide further insights into target customer profiles & existing customers' behaviors
Championing a healthy data culture and encourage & promote data-driven decision making throughout the organization
Main requirements
5+ years of work experience in a similar role
Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams
Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications: Define the right data, analyses or interpretations leading to the right recommendations
You're accomplished at orienting business users within the data domain, understanding their needs, and translating them into technical requirements to ultimately design effective BI solutions to communicate, visualize or report results/analyses so they are clear and unambiguous to technical and non-technical audiences
You have a keen eye for identifying operational inefficiencies and information gaps at a global level
Experience using Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Looker, Tableau or QlikView
You have experience integrating data from multiple sources including DBs, product tracking, and APIs
You can code SQL in your sleep, optimizing queries for performance, scalability, and ease of maintenance
Solid proficiency in Python and experience working with analysis tools such as Pandas, Jupyter/iPython notebooks
Experience in web analytics and web tracking and event-based analytics tools
Google Cloud experience is highly valued
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field
Fluent in English
