You'll be working in Agile teams, on challenging, state of the art, hardware development projects for different clusters such as Cure & Care, Imaging & Controls, Mobility & Transport, Infrastructure & Logistics and Research and Development. At Topic this means you'll have daily stand-up meetings and weekly or bi-weekly sprints. In addition to technical competencies, the senior hardware engineer must also to be able to communicate effectively, not only within the team, suppliers and contractors, but most importantly our customers.
Main requirements
Who are you as a Senior Hardware Engineer?
Have at least 5 years of professional experience;
Have a successful track record in high-tech hardware development projects;
You are a high-level conceptual thinker: a trusted sparring partner to peers and systems architects of our customers and other parties involved, but still be able to translate the concepts to our team;
Proficient in system requirement capturing and translation into hardware design architecture
Experience in testing and integration;
Experience with schematic design & capture;
Knowledge of PCB design & routing;
Detail orientated and practical hands-on hardware experience;
You have extensive knowledge and experience in high-speed, low-power designs, combining FPGAs with ARM microprocessors, DDR4 memories, fast ADCs and radio modules such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
You have worked with tools such as Mentor Graphics Xpedition, Altium Designer, HyperLynx;
Be able to take the lead role in designing complex hardware development projects;
You are used to working in a structured (ISO-13485) development process and can prioritize multiple projects and clients.
Possess a can-do attitude and motivator for a team of likeminded peers;
Have excellent English language skills, additional Dutch skills are strongly preferred;
Lives in (or willing to relocate to) the Eindhoven area or within reasonable commuting distance
A Master or Bachelor degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
