What will be expected of you?
Design high-level solutions in a clear and efficient way for relevant initiatives, supporting all others when needed, with a focus on merchandize and health & wellness solutions (eg. Imaginasoft, Gicnet, Retek)
Define and manage solutions evolution/roadmap aligned with enterprise strategy incorporating technology trends and innovations
Involved in the early stages of feasibility, converging sooner to MVP (minimum viable product) with a preliminary project cost estimation
Foster and implement architecture and technology guidelines, standards and best practices;
Ensure that technical designs comply with applicable architecture standards and designs are functionally and technically feasible
Validates technology ability to meet business, performance, integration, and scalability requirements for each project (Solution Maturity Index)
Partner with business partners, program managers and development teams on oversight for all requirements to formulate appropriate architecture required to provide system functionality, deciding when to advocate and when to compromise to arrive at mutually acceptable solutions
Negotiate contracts with partners to accomplish better TCO (Total Cost Ownership)
Understands the long-term business objectives and proposes technology strategies to meet those objectives
Play a leading role in the investigation of new technologies and architectural initiatives to meet medium to long term business needs
Main requirements
Degree in an Information Technology field
More than 3 years of experience in IT architecture definition
At least 3 years' experience as a Software Engineer, with roles related to application development
Previous experience with SQL, .NET, and Oracle
Agile practices knowledge and experience
Understanding of distributed environments
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical concepts into understandable terms
Ability to work at both a tactical and strategic level simultaneously
