Skincare Content Ghostwriter

Our marketing agency is looking for a content writer who can create blog posts for our skincare clients.

*** We are prioritizing skincare writing experience first and foremost, but overall beauty and health experience is preferred as well. ***

REQUIREMENTS – please kindly read all this to ensure you fit the bill! 😉

  • Possess a general understanding of skin and skin care (e.g. antioxidants, collagen, dermis, etc.). You *don’t* have to be a skincare expert—but you *do* need to know how to research and write informative, knowledgeable and authoritative blog posts.
  • Be able to research using clinical studies, scientific journals, organization/association/university/hospital websites (NOT beauty blogs, WebMD, etc.)
  • You must know how to write in FDA-acceptable language (i.e. phrases and wording that imply health/drug claims will get our clients in trouble). We will provide guidelines but we need our writers to be mindful of the wording as needed.
  • Adapt to different writing styles/voices depending on the client (e.g. clinical, conversational, journalistic)

WRITING EXAMPLES

Below are a few examples of the types of articles you’d be writing (notice the range in voice):

To reiterate, we need someone who can write more like this:
“Vitamin C has been proven to brighten skin and reduce the appearance of dark spots thanks to its potent antioxidant properties, which means it can help stave of free radicals, unstable atoms that cause premature signs of aging. {https://lpi.oregonstate.edu/mic/health-disease/skin-health/vitamin-C}”
and NOT like this:
“Vitamin C will make your skin radiant and glow.”
