Fairways has an exciting opportunity for a graduate to teach English as a foreign language to school children in Shandong, China.
Our client is a British owned school that focuses on developing the English language abilities of their students. Based in Shandong, China they are 3 hours from Beijing and approximately 4 hours from Shanghai, 2 incredible cities which can be accessed via excellent transport links.
This is a fantastic opportunity to experience a different culture and lifestyle whilst developing your professional career.
Requirements:-
* Bachelors' Degree (in any subject) required
* Native English speaker
* Excellent communication skills
* Commitment to live abroad for at least one year
* Flexible approach to work
* Excellent planning & organisational skills
Benefits:
* Salary 12,000 RMB per month (equivalent of £1,369 after tax)
* Annual bonus of between £2,000-£4,000
* Working hours 32.5 hours per week: 25 teaching hours and 7.5 admin hours
* Full work visa funded by Company
* School term determines holidays but usually 20/21 days in July/August and 14/21 days in Jan/Feb
* Cheap gym membership
Accommodation is not provided but is readily available and extremely reasonable (approx. £150 per month for 2 bedroomed apartment). Cost of living in Shandong is approx. 50% cheaper than living in the UK.
No TEFAL qualification (or equivalent) is required. The successful candidate will have constant support and will not be teaching classes until fully trained and confident with the curriculum. A fully trained assistant will be provided to support the candidate with classes and there is a support group of foreign teachers to help simplify everything.
Our client will also provide support preparing and funding your work visa.
