About this vacancy
We are seeking to appoint Healthcare Assistants to join our vibrant and friendly team. A kind and compassionate manner and an interest in providing an excellent standard of care is essential.
Hurstpierpoint Ward is an 23 bedded acute Elderly medical ward which also incorporates the 8 bedded Poynings Unit which specialises in providing acute care for those patients who have a primary\/secondary diagnosis of Dementia. Our ward provides a safe and calm environment which has proved to be very successful in promoting good patient experience and a supportive working environment.
We would like to advise you that this vacancy is linked to the Nursing \/ HCA recruitment day due to be held on19 September 2019at Haywards Heath. If you have applied for more than one vacancy, you may receive duplicate invites, however you will only be interviewed by one of the panels on the day.
General information for applicants
Salaries for substantive posts will be offered to successful candidates in alignment with the NHS Agenda for Change terms and conditions. All our substantive colleagues will also receive an annual appraisal. For substantive colleagues appointed after 1 April 2019, this guides their progression through the salary steps. Please note this does not apply to Bank only applicants.
As part of our commitment to a safe working environment, we undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check on all new employees where the role is eligible for a criminal record check . We make offers in line with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1975.
We may also use our substantive adverts to build our Bank staff. If you are unsuccessful at interview for a substantive role but meet the BSUH specification for that role you may be offered a bank post. Please note our Bank hourly rates are outlined on a separate payscale.
