Responsibilities:
- Use extensive knowledge of multiple project management frameworks to stay flexible and pragmatic across client industries, needs, and contract types
- Encourage and facilitate close collaboration and open, transparent communication within all-remote, cross-functional product teams
- Facilitate all product phase iterations, including project planning, client demos, retrospectives, release planning, and maintaining a living backlog of prioritized work
- Conduct product estimation sessions utilizing the methodology most suited for the project type and scope
- Deliver regularly updated project plans to communicate design and implementation details to internal and external stakeholders
- Monitor the project budget and estimates, working with your team to achieve maximum value within the approved spend
- Utilize risk management best practices to predict, prevent, and mitigate risks to project, product, and relationship
- Collaborate with account management to identify areas of success, improvement, and opportunity -- as well as lean on your own emotional intelligence and client relationship-building expertise in the day to day
- Enthusiastically contribute to the evolution of DockYard-wide processes and best practices
- Rigorously remove impediments to encourage focus and flow for your team
Must Haves:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the software environment as a project manager or similar roll
- Demonstrated experience with UX design, software development, and web technologies in a scrum or other Agile environment
- Ability to patiently learn, contribute, and persuade within a strategically growing, small company environment
- Proven experience with and in-depth understanding of team empowerment and servant leadership, and the skills to balance empathy with the art of delegation
- Ability to deliver and receive transparent and constructive feedback
Nice To Haves:
- Experience in and affinity the agency or consultancy context
- Experience developing and maintaining long-term client relationships
- Experience managing projects with all-remote teams
- Familiarity with GitHub or other common project management tools
