The Role
"Automated driving" is fast becoming an indispensable part of achieving an improved automobile society and encompasses diverse factors. These include the elimination of traffic congestion, a reduction in adverse environmental impact, and improved safety. Rapid expansion is expected going forward and software development will be essential to achieve this in a structured manner.
This role relates to global development engineering of common infrastructure software manufacture for autonomous driving, whilst contributing to the quality/development efficiency of next-generation vehicles. In parallel this can improve your own engineering ability as well as contributing in a positive way to society.

Salary: 4,000,000 - 8,000,000 Japanese Yen/annum
*In the case of career recruitment, employer will give preferential treatment in consideration of experience, ability, etc.
Permanent, full-time
Location: Kanagawa, Japan or other Japanese domestic bases
Employer will support your Visa in Japan if necessary.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor level degree or higher in Engineering
- Electrical & Electronics, IT, Software, Mechanical, Physics, Chemistry, or Mathematics major is required
- Fluent in Japanese (written and spoken) and Business level in English
- 3+ years' work experience
- Automotive industry experience is NOT essential
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience in systems research and development of automobiles, robots, industrial machines, etc. or component research and development of mechanical and electrical systems
- Basic knowledge of programming
- General knowledge of electronic circuits and software
- Electronic component design equipment software
- Familiarity with the tools involved in software development
- Familiarity with AUTOSAR specification / development tools
- Python, C++, MATLAB, Simulink
- The ability to boldly challenge new issues
- A tenacious and positive attitude - even in difficult situations
- A high regard for teamwork and the ability to motivate colleagues
- A strong interest in the manufacturing sector
