An excellent opportunity awaits an experienced middle school English literature/language teacher to start the new academic year in this IB school in Sharjah, UAE by September 2019.
The role will see you teach the IB MYP curriculum across the grade levels of 6 to 10. You teach predominately Emirati pupils from middle/upper socio families where a two-year contract is to be offered. The school is within a 45-minute commute to Central Dubai.
Selection Criteria
Experience - minimum two years full time experience post qualification
Qualifications - minimum Bachelor degree in English + Teaching Diploma/PGCE or B.Ed. English. Note/ This is not an ESL role therefore a Bachelor degree + an ESL qualification (TESOL/CELTA) is not appropriate
Language - with the curriculum delivered in English the school have requested applicants to be native or first language speakers of English
Qualities - experience to an enquiry based curriculum is preferred. A candidate sensitive to work in an Arabic/ESL environment is an advantage. Team player who involves themselves in whole school community.
Package
In return, you will take home a monthly tax-free salary up to 15000AED a month (£3300/$4100USD). Package also includes furnished accommodation + gas/electricity/water allowance, annual flights, end of contract gratuity, IB training, staff transport to/from work, shipping allowance, medical cover + visa.
