Freelance Content Writer, Dental Marketing

Role Overview

You will help meet business goals by producing engaging, compelling content that is of clear value for our target audiences: dentists and their potential patients. The Content Writer will execute on specific content projects as defined by our Marketing and Website/SEO teams.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Marketing Content

  • Execute on high-priority content efforts, leveraging internal and external experts.

  • Write and edit eBooks, case studies, website copy, blog posts, webinars, and more that address our target audiences’ pain points with the end goal of building awareness, conversions, engagement, and driving leads through the marketing funnel to result in sales.

  • Work with the marketing manager to ensure a consistent voice, tone, and style across materials and outlets.

  • Collaborate with other members of the marketing team, sales team, and development team to create content that meets specific needs.

  • Create content for the website to communicate a unique value proposition and key messages. Copy edit and update the website as needed.

  • Work in conjunction with the Marketing Manager and other teams to track, measure, test, analyze and report on content-related initiatives.

  • Optimize all content for SEO.

  • Provide support for broad marketing function as needed: market research, reporting, and analytics, email campaigns, general marketing campaigns and materials, company newsletter and internal communication, sales communication, community engagement, etc.

Client Website Content

  • Review client information and organize into an SEO-driven site tree per our defined SEO guidelines.

  • Write custom content unique to each specific dental practice.

  • Organize and select appropriate photography for the website, drawing from a combination of client supplied imagery and stock images.

  • QA of content for grammar, errors, and relevance.

  • Incorporate SEO strategies and keywords as defined by our guidelines.

Skills Needed

  • Ability to produce production-ready, high-quality content according to defined deadlines.

  • Proficiency with copy editing and high editorial standards.

  • Solid understanding of the role of content marketing and SEO/SEM best practices

  • Excellent communication skills with proven ability to work independently

  • Highly self-motivated, and self-directed.

  • Excellent research skills as it will be required to conduct market research and to become familiar with dental-specific terminology.

KPIs

  • All assignments are completed by the assigned due date.

  • Content is delivered free of errors.
