We're looking for experienced Backend Engineers to join our team in Lisbon to work on an exciting projects and products for the world's biggest Trucks and Buses manufacturer. We are part of DAIMLER.
About you
You have an entrepreneurial mindset and love building new things from scratch. You are willing to constantly challenge yourself by learning new approaches and technologies and encourage a culture of mutual learning and collaboration.
Responsibilities:
Develop exciting projects with latest technologies (Java, Scala, Kotlin is our tech stack)
Implement RESTful APIs to serve data and integrate them with API management tools
Align with Data Engineers to define data schemas on the serving layer databases
Align with Frontend developers and data consumers in general for API requirements
Implement CI/CD pipelines
Eventually you will have to fix some bugs right? This is not Disneyland! :)
Main requirements
Deep understanding of Application and Infrastructure Design in a Cloud Environment
Strong knowledge of one of the following programming languages: Java 8, Scala, Kotlin
Experience in RESTful API development (e.g. Swagger)
Experience with HTTP toolkits for server side API development such as akka-http, spray, finch/finagle, vert.x
Strong experience with SQL
Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Cassandra, ...)
Fluent with unit testing, automated integration and load tests, CI/CD pipelines
Strong Unix experience
