What
makes people go to work?
Catapult is
the worlds fastest growing on-demand staffing marketplace. Every day some of
the best known hospitality and retail brands are staffed by our incredible
workers. Over the last couple of years we've generated a lot of data. We've
sent out millions of job offers and stored everything, who applied, how long
did it take them to apply, how far away was it from them, did they cancel, did
they show up for the shift. Now we're looking for someone to help us make use
of that data.
This
role
We want to
understand what is realistically achievable with this dataset and what tools
should be used. Can we gain interesting insights using Apache PredictionIO,
should we be adapting a traditional recommendation engine or looking at
TensorFlow etc.
We're
looking for someone who's worked with multiple different machine learning
approaches to take a deep drive into our datasets, experiment with different
tools and approaches and give us a feel for what can be done. You'd be working
directly with the development team and CTO as well as a highly data driven
management team.
Structure
of role
We see this
as being initially an explorative contract role with the potential for a full
time role.
